Bespoke Film Restoration

Ray Argall brings his love for film, his cinematographer’s eye and incredible attention to detail to all of his bespoke film restoration projects, which range from music videos and classic Australian films Feeling Sexy, Winter’s Harvest and Idiot Box to the iconic 1987 concert film Australian Made Redux and Palm D’Or winning short film Palisade.

His passion for restoration work began with his own cinematic archives, including the 25,000 feet of unseen negatives that inspired acclaimed documentary Midnight Oil: 1984 (2018) and his award winning first feature film Return Home (1989).

He continues to work on the archives and catalogues of veteran Australian directors and producers.

Interview with Ray about restoration work in The Canberra Times here.

Scanning of 16mm and 35mm film to digital formats is also available by appointment.
